ΓΙΑΝΝΗΣ
ΤΣΙΟΤΣΙΟΠΟΥΛΟΣ
ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΚΟ
ΣΗΜΕΙΩΜΑ
Γεννήθηκε
στην
Αθήνα το 1970.
Σπούδασε
Βυζαντινή
Μουσική
και
παρακολούθησε
μαθήματα
φωνητικής,
κλασικού
τραγουδιού,
μελοδραματικής
και
θεωρητικών
ευρωπαϊκής
μουσικής.
Από
το 1986 είναι
μέλος και
σολίστ
της
Ελληνικής
Βυζαντινής
Χορωδίας,
έχοντας
συμμετάσχει
σε
περισσότερες
από 300
συναυλίες
και
εκδηλώσεις
παγκοσμίως,
καθώς και
σε
πολυάριθμες
ηχογραφήσεις
με
αντικείμενα
την
Βυζαντινή
Μουσική
και την
έρευνα σε
μουσικά
κείμενα
πρωτοχριστιανικών
και
αρχαιοελληνικών
αιώνων.
Υπήρξε
μέλος της
Χορωδίας
της
Δόμνας
Σαμίου με
την οποία
ηχογράφησε
3 cd’s
και
εμφανίστηκε
ως σολίστ.
Ως
τενόρος
και
ψάλτης,
έχει
τραγουδήσει
έργα
Ελλήνων
Συνθετών
στην
Ελλάδα
και στο
εξωτερικό,
δύο εξ
αυτών σε
πρώτη
παγκόσμια
εκτέλεση.
Από
το 1999 είναι
Λαμπαδάριος
(αριστερός
ψάλτης)
του Ι.Ν.
Αγίας
Ειρήνης
Αιόλου.
Το
2009 εξέδωσε
την πρώτη
του
ποιητική
συλλογή
με τίτλο «Εν
αρχή», την
οποία
προλογίζει
ο κ.
Κυριάκος
Αμανατίδης.
Είναι
παντρεμένος
με την
Ευαγγελία
Χρηστάκου
(ομογενή
από την
Μελβούρνη)
με την
οποία
έχουν
αποκτήσει
δύο τέκνα
και
εργάζεται
ως
Διευθυντής
Καταστήματος
στην Alpha
Bank
στην
Αθήνα.

John
Tsiotsiopoulos
Biographical Note
John Tsiotsiopoulos
was born in Athens in 1970. He
studied Byzantine Music, and attended lessons in
vocal, classical songs, melodrama and the theory of Classical music.
John
is a member and soloist of the Greek Byzantine Choir
since 1986, and has participated in more than 300
international concerts and performances, as well as in
numerous recordings of Byzantine Music,
as well as in research into manuscripts of
early Christian and ancient Greek music.
John
has been a member of the Domna Samiou Choir, with
which he participated in the recording of 3 CDs, and
appeared as soloist on several occasions.
As
a tenor and chanter John has performed works of Greek
composers in
Greece
and abroad, two of them as world wide premieres.
Since
1999 John is Labadarios (left chanter) at St Irene’s Church at
Aiolou street
,
Athens
.
His
first poetry collection “In the Beginning” was
published in
Athens
in 2009, with an Introduction by the
Melbourne
literary critic Kyriakos Amanatides.
John
is married to Evagelia Christakou (born in Melbourne),
and they are blessed with two children. He is the
Manager of an Athens Branch of the Alpha Bank.
